As ever, if, whilst I\u2019m oot delivering, I spot some stuff I find gobsmackingly beautiful, I may tarry a wee while, and get off a snap or two. Flying solo, that\u2019s fine. Teresa, accidentally along for the ride, wasn\u2019t altogether settled with the idea\/practice, alas!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All Saints, Elm.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Our joint afternoon jaunt began with a drive, via Friday Bridge (love that name), to Elm (another lovely name!), to finally take a look at The Parish Church of All Saints, Elm. The crisply clear slanting golden light of a cloudless autumn day was poifeck. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The gorgeous autumn light is sublime.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Sadly the church was locked. So we just had to content ourselves with walking around it. But it\u2019s still beautiful to behold. Esp\u2019 on a day such as today was, weather-wise. And the graveyard is very picturesque. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some headstones really draw the eye.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Admiring the human crafting and carving of certain headstones makes for an interesting comparison with nature\u2019s slower and subtler encroachments. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I got so snap happy here, I very nearly forgot I had managed to book a delivery shift, and that said shift, fast approaching, was now really<\/em> looming over me. Fortunately, once I\u2019d realised, I was easily able to get to work on time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2018It\u2019s a corking leaner!\u2019 sounds like Alan Partridge in full exultant flight (\u2018it\u2019s an extender\u2019\u2026 \u2018smell my cheese\u2019, etc.).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As I type this, I spy that the time \u2026 daddzzzzzxxscfrd ussreeedeerdddddddddygddd wxddddehdeezzzz deedryuttftfdtrr reds CCC mm \u2026 erm!? Woah\u2026 Sleep just produced that<\/em>! I was trying to say it\u2019s approaching 11.35pm! But I\u2019m fading in and out o\u2019 consciousness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Midnight approaches, and I needs must sleep more\u2026 g\u2019night. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another gorgeous looking church I was unable to explore the inside of today was St Leonard\u2019s, Leverington. I\u2019ll need to go back to the churches in both Elm and Leverington (and so many more!), to look around and document their insides.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
