Whether I ultimately sell this amp, or keep it and use it, this little refurb job is good. The logo is, or rather was, very worn and battered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Looks like this amp saw a lot of heavy action before I got it. I have the to confess I more or less haven\u2019t used it at all. Shame on me!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sprayed. Reveal begins (screw holes\u2026)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

I removed the plastic plate, masked it all, and then sprayed it black. I think with Rustoleum matt black? Left it a while to dry (actually encouraged that process a bit with a hair-dryer\u2026 feeling impatient!).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Unmasked.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

The \u2018reveal\u2019, aka peeling off the masking, is peculiarly satisfying. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

One minor gripe is that I\u2019ve left lines visible where I cut the masking. I could\u2019ve either cut more accurately, or masked a different way; e.g. filled the recessed lettering with plasticene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Oh well! You live n\u2019 learn. And I\u2019m happy enough with the way I\u2019ve done it for the time being. It looks very nice n\u2019 crisp. And it\u2019s undoubtedly a massive improvement. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

And finally, the two little Phillips head screws hold the logo plate in place, as it was before. Only now, looking so much better. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
