I\u2019m not usually one to wish ill on anyone. Well, I didn\u2019t used to be. But several extremely unpleasant experiences in the last few years have changed that. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019m 100% with Crumb in wishing and hoping fervently that Trump and his ilk be publicly punished, and indeed humiliated, and that their disgustingly venal self-serving ways be fully exposed for what they are. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019ve read that Trump has been found guilty of all 36 charges against him, in the Stormy Daniels hush-money case. Excellent. Let\u2019s hope this is just the first in a tidal wave of successful prosecutions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

And let\u2019s hope he spends the remainder of his life in jail. Sadly I suspect his hyper-wealth will protect him from such an outcome. I hope I\u2019m proven wrong. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trump is allegedly a great businessman. Well, he\u2019s certainly very rich. But according to hundreds of former \u2018business associates\u2019, or more plainly victims of his \u2018sharp practices\u2019, he\u2019s just a non-paying bully and criminal. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As Adam Gabbatt tartly observes, in a piece on Trump\u2019s recent Bible sales<\/a> gambit, for The Guardian \u2018Trump owes more than $500m as a result of civil court convictions. He is facing 88 felony charges, in five different jurisdictions, and lawyers cost money (unless you don\u2019t pay them).\u2019<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Just as Crumb saw Trump clearly for the criminal he is, so too did Joni Mitchell understand where we\u2019ve all been headed, as the 1985 lyrics to \u2018Dog Eat Dog\u2019 testify:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
