Clearing away the old stuff.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Part the First\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The wood chip floor of the green room had mostly migrated to other environs. And there were plenty of things growing in the light dusting of soil that remained. So we cleared that all away (as shown above and below).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I took a gamble that three backs of wood chips – \u00a38 a bag from Wickes (1\/3 off usual RRP!) – would be enough. And it seems to be just peachy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our new reclining chairs in place.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Our two new reclining garden chairs arrived a day early, yesterday. So they\u2019re now in place, in the green room. I\u2019m writing this in the recumbent position. Sheer bliss!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Part The Second\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hannah, Sofi and Antonio returned, about an hour before we had to leave for my Sunday (!?) dermatology hospital appointment. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Part The Third\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We were in and out of Peterborough City Hospital quicker than a virgin at a bordello.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once home we could finally totally chill, in our new chairs. And even read! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

From where I\u2019m lying, with the new chair in horizontal mode, I can see three bird feeding stations. And, glory be, the birds are starting to learn about the feed we\u2019re putting out for them. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Seeing and hearing these delicate little critters – I esp\u2019 love the little birds – is sheer bliss. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We have a fourth bird feeder. But it\u2019s in need of repair. In the meantime, Teresa has arrived with dinner\u2026 pork korma with rice! Am I in Heaven?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019m chilling to the Decimus Maximus. A fire and dinner in prospect\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pork korma, with a side-salad. And banana n\u2019 hazelnut choc-spread pooncakes for afters\u2026 joy of joys!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I built a wee fire. And it burned just right for us, during dinner. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The view from where I\u2019m laying, in recline mode, is fab. And the birds are learning they can eat their feed even if we\u2019re sat here. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I asked Teresa to pinch me. Am I dreaming? Have I died and gone to Heaven? Very recently the \u2018weather in my head\u2019 (thanks, Don) had been pretty awful. Right now I\u2019m in Nirvana!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And to finish a perfect day: Champagne Charlie<\/em>, in our cosy lounge\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n
