I should\u2019ve been working today, this afternoon. But I\u2019m not. So I\u2019ve used the time this has afforded me to re-paint the fireplace feature wall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Teresa was jealous of the fun I was having painting. So I let her join in. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ta-dah! Just finished.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Two coats, just one tester pot. Fab! And the colour – Ceremonial Ochre, by Valspar (from B&Q) – is just as I\u2019d hoped it\u2019d be. Cool, calm and lighter than the previous heavy \u2018port\u2019 red we inherited.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Indeed, it has a Georgian Adamite flavour, which is exactly what I was after. Huzzah!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I love the above photo. It\u2019s nice to see a decent expanse of the wall colour. In fact it makes me think I\u2019ll probably extend this colour onto the walls either side of the fireplace. I\u2019ve still got a whole tester-pot left!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Teresa was a bit anti-repaint. But now she loves it. Which is gratifying. I\u2019m very<\/em> pleased.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
