Some of the settings, for example. And also some of the ideas. Hmmm\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s interesting that the zoonomic pathway to human disease, for Covid, was prob\u2019 via bats (and poss pangolins?). But one can read the zombie\/vampire thing another way; as a view on modern humanity as inherently failed and flawed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"829\" src=\"http:\/\/www.sebpalmer.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/img_3026-1-1024x829.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-26015\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.sebpalmer.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/img_3026-1-1024x829.jpg 1024w, http:\/\/www.sebpalmer.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/img_3026-1-300x243.jpg 300w, http:\/\/www.sebpalmer.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/img_3026-1-768x621.jpg 768w, http:\/\/www.sebpalmer.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/img_3026-1.jpg 1200w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 767px) 89vw, (max-width: 1000px) 54vw, (max-width: 1071px) 543px, 580px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">A fab\u2019 image!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s also interesting in that it suggests a form of human evolution that supersedes \u2018us\u2019, i.e. humanity as we are now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But somehow the film hangs in limbo, between these interesting ideas (and the powerful spooky images) and something much more trashy and cornball.
