Working out in the garden.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Working (outside n the garden) on a new idea today. The idea derives from a combo of Breughel\u2019s Triumph of Death<\/em>, and a Cuban record cover!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

New Dance of Death piece.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

This one is intended to make the Death part of the theme more my own (as a theme, not as wish for demise!), less pinched from Breughel\/Picasso, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also, partly \u2018in spirit\u2019, via the Cuban music connection (and the whole Afro-Latin-American attitude to Death), it\u2019s intended to bring in a more positive celebratory note, of sorts. If ya\u2019 ken wor\u2019 I mean?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Further developments\u2026<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

The colours are coming out a bit sharp\/acid*. Poss\u2019 more so in the photos than in \u2018real life\u2019? And I\u2019d quite like to work more on the positions\/quantities\/hues of the coloured \u2018spots\u2019, to make the overall composition sing a bit more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also, the little moon\/skulls could conceivably have their little scroll like shrouds in attendance, also? Hmmm\u2026 plenty to think and work on. That\u2019s all to the good, methinks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

*An ochre\/earth colour is coming out bright orange, for example!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Well, the day is over. More or less. I\u2019m in bed. Having slipped in the bath, and flooded the floor. Could\u2019ve been much worse!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Dance of Death design has progressed a bit more. And I like it better, for it. But it\u2019s not quite there yet. Do I work more on this version? Or do another, and add\/remove, change, and so on\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n
