Well, I\u2019m utterly miserable. Probably a result of the excess of whiskey on Tuesday night. Jeez, what a furkin\u2019 dope I can be, sometimes! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s a gorgeous sunny day. And I feel like a stinky turf on someone\u2019s smelly old shoe. Horrid! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chester\u2019s pestering for food has been really annoying me. So much so I\u2019ve shut him out several times, to let me get on with Dad\u2019s painting. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I think I like this lower half?<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

That seems to be going a bit better, in part. Specifically the bottom half. I introduced the \u2018keys\u2019 in the arched piano portion of the design. In near primary colours: red, yellow green and blue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some black and white line work, with acrylic pens has also helped focus things a bit. But I still feel a long ways from happy with this\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I have a few ideas\u2026 and, in true jazz style, it\u2019s all about improv\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hmmm!? I think this is finally starting to hang together a bit better. Due to immense simplification. Somewhat to my own surprise, going almost black n\u2019 white in the top half, has really helped. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dialling down the noise and complexity is key, as well. I\u2019d like to work towards arriving at more bold simplicity quicker. Rather than via the slightly tortuous layering I often currently resort to.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Oh my God\u2026 I can\u2019t stop \u2018worriting\u2019 this image! I\u2019ve fiddled around with editing it on my iPhone a few times now. The above is the latest example of that. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
