It\u2019s beautifully filmed, in black and white (like the other superb and unusual Brownlow & Mollo film It Happened Here<\/em>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As usual, with a film like this, when you start looking into it, you uncover other interesting stuff<\/a>. Also, I found this blog, The Celluloid Wicker Man<\/a>, which is fascinating.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s worth noting that for some folk, there has actually been a second<\/em> ECW, much more recently, with events such as The Battle of The Beanfield<\/a> and The Battle of Orgreave<\/a> echoing how society or the state brutally suppresses dissent.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
