I bought a punch, specifically for this job. And it worked well. Ot at least I thought it did. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The punch gave me a decent line of divets, to drill into. But, rather annoyingly, despite this, the holes weren\u2019t all aligned as hoped for. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I think it\u2019s \u2019cause the drill has issues with a circular hoop; the curve causes the drill bit to deflect a bit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anyway, with lots of filing, two decent slots were eventually achieved. I may want to work a little more on them\u2026 hmmm? Not sure!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So, with these slots cut, I could finally put the new Evans head on. And that means – aside from possible further fettling – she\u2019s done. Yay!!! She certainly looks fab. Tomorrow I\u2019ll see how she sounds. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
