Well, I\u2019m amazed. I\u2019ve made a bodhran, or frame drum. It\u2019s made from a cut down 13\u201d rack tom, from a cheapo ex-school beginner kit. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s quite high pitched and resonant. And I think a \u2018true\u2019 bodhran would have a bigger heavier frames and lower tone. But hey, it\u2019s a first attempt. And I have to confess I\u2019m chuffed. Chuffed it\u2019s a playable drum at all!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I don\u2019t know how to play it. Leastways not in the authentic bodhran manner. And I don\u2019t have a stick\/tipper\/beater thing.
