I failed in that enterprise! But I did re-discover <a href=\"https:\/\/www.old-town.co.uk\">old town<\/a>, whose modern take on old fashioned classics in clothing I really dig.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.sebpalmer.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/img_5553.jpg\" class=\"size-full wp-image-6821\" width=\"470\" height=\"762\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.sebpalmer.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/img_5553.jpg 470w, http:\/\/www.sebpalmer.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/img_5553-185x300.jpg 185w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 470px) 100vw, 470px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Perusing their &#8216;Small Trades&#8217; gallery then lead to learning about Irving Penn&#8217;s book of photographs of the same name, which old town acknowledge as a major influence. And from Penn we get to his wife, the &#8216;first supermodel&#8217; Lisa Fonssagrive. And via her to photographer Fernand Fonssagrive!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.sebpalmer.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/img_5549.jpg\" class=\"size-full wp-image-6822\" width=\"400\" height=\"500\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.sebpalmer.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/img_5549.jpg 400w, http:\/\/www.sebpalmer.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/img_5549-240x300.jpg 240w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The young Irv Penn, and his beautiful wife. By which I don&#8217;t mean hairy blokes, but those crazy cowboy over-trousers.
