I love the interweb for stuff like this. I\u2019m trying to learn more about Casiopea\u2019s original drummer, Takashi Sasaki, I found several YouTube videos, listed on the Discogs website. I\u2019m sharing them here. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-4-3 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<span class=\"embed-youtube\" style=\"text-align:center; display: block;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"youtube-player\" width=\"525\" height=\"296\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Z1sBR5EsdUw?version=3&#038;rel=1&#038;showsearch=0&#038;showinfo=1&#038;iv_load_policy=1&#038;fs=1&#038;hl=en-GB&#038;autohide=2&#038;wmode=transparent\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" style=\"border:0;\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts allow-same-origin allow-popups allow-presentation\"><\/iframe><\/span>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>These recordings appear to be from a Yamaha music corporation even, which, by the looks of things, was recorded. These live performances show Casiopea already performing several tracks that would appear in the eponymous debut, in \u201879. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-4-3 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<span class=\"embed-youtube\" style=\"text-align:center; display: block;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"youtube-player\" width=\"525\" height=\"296\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/HUdslm_uIVw?version=3&#038;rel=1&#038;showsearch=0&#038;showinfo=1&#038;iv_load_policy=1&#038;fs=1&#038;hl=en-GB&#038;autohide=2&#038;wmode=transparent\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" style=\"border:0;\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts allow-same-origin allow-popups allow-presentation\"><\/iframe><\/span>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Sasaki joins the ranks of my favourite drummers. His playing is tight, crisp, nuanced, with a perfect dynamic range. His drumming is always imaginative, and can frequently be quite busy, but it always fits the music perfectly. A real inspiration. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"406\" height=\"303\" src=\"http:\/\/www.sebpalmer.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/img_5593.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7425\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.sebpalmer.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/img_5593.jpg 406w, http:\/\/www.sebpalmer.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/img_5593-300x224.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 406px) 100vw, 406px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">So, he was playing a Rogers kit.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Several pictures and videos confirm that Sasaki was playing a Rogers kit at this point.
