But this one is bonkers. My favourites being Steve Martin\u2019s sadistic rockabilly biker dentist, Orin Scrivello (DDS!), addicted to laughing gas, and his<em> Planes Trains &amp; Automobiles <\/em>co-star, John Candy, as manic DJ \u2018Weird\u2019 Wink Wilkinson.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"500\" height=\"500\" src=\"http:\/\/www.sebpalmer.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/img_5902.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7800\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.sebpalmer.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/img_5902.jpg 500w, http:\/\/www.sebpalmer.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/img_5902-300x300.jpg 300w, http:\/\/www.sebpalmer.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/img_5902-150x150.jpg 150w, http:\/\/www.sebpalmer.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/img_5902-100x100.jpg 100w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Steve Martin as Orin Scrivello, DDS.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The movie was produced by music mogul David Geffen, subject of Joni Mitchell\u2019s terrific song Free Man Paris. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A bonkers thing, and one of the few musicals I can bear &#8211; though enduring the \u2018numbers\u2019 <em>is<\/em> an issue &#8211; to watch all the way through.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I\u2019m not a big fan of musicals.
