I think I discovered it during a brief stint when, in my mid to late teens, I worked briefly at the Cambridge Central Library, in what was then (pre Grand Arcade) Lion Yard<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Around that time I was using the library\u2019s music collection &#8211; CDs were starting to replace vinyl (I even had a back room job at the library, helping facilitate this change-over) &#8211; to edumacate myself further, particularly re jazz. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thanks to their esoteric selection I discovered this and numerous other great recordings, such as as Alice and John Coltrane\u2019s <em>Infinity.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"466\" height=\"453\" src=\"http:\/\/www.sebpalmer.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/img_6078.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7940\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.sebpalmer.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/img_6078.jpg 466w, http:\/\/www.sebpalmer.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/img_6078-300x292.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 466px) 100vw, 466px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Another fabulous recording.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The only reason this is four and a half and not five stars is the poor audio quality. I\u2019m amazed that all this time later, nobody\u2019s done a decent remaster. This is top drawer music, totally meriting a good sympathetic sonic clean-up!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>* Password protected, to keep it private!
