Gaaargh!!!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>No antibiotics, instead regular warm salt-water gargling! Apparently I\u2019m already about halfway through &#8211; three days in &#8211; the worst of it. And it should be totally gone in 7-10 days. I sure do hope so. It\u2019s horrible! Apart from the pure discomfort, esp\u2019 when swallowing, it\u2019s making me feel exhausted. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I started feeling a bit better this afternoon. But now I\u2019m feeling much the same as I have for the bulk of the last three days\u2026 shite! Time to get a-gargling again, with warm and <em>very<\/em> salty water.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I did another shift for Amazon Flex, despite being ill. That\u2019s modern life; economic \u2018necessity\u2019 trumps healthy living. Could be a metaphor for our times!? Saturday\u2019s shift was utterly awful; Sunday\u2019s was, workload wise, the exact opposite. Saturday I had over 30 packages to deliver (roughly 30% more than normal), Sunday, just three! But obviously I should have been having &#8211; according to doc and online advice &#8211; complete bedrest. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"800\" height=\"530\" src=\"http:\/\/www.sebpalmer.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/img_6365.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-8082\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.sebpalmer.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/img_6365.jpg 800w, http:\/\/www.sebpalmer.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/img_6365-300x199.jpg 300w, http:\/\/www.sebpalmer.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/img_6365-768x509.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 767px) 89vw, (max-width: 1000px) 54vw, (max-width: 1071px) 543px, 580px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Williams, eccentric but still dazzling.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>And the Master\u2019s Snooker mirrored the upturn in certain aspects of my experience. After the dull grind of Trump vs Bingham, Judd\u2019s much closer Final battle with veteran Mark Williams (48!*) was far more engaging and entertaining. Mind, I missed a massive chunk, thanks to work. But I caught the evening sesh.
