For the umpteenth time, as is her habit. And why not? It\u2019s <em>very<\/em> well done, indeed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There\u2019s an episode where the character Gridley, pursued by Tulkinghorn, expires in the care of Sgt. George. Inspector Bucket tries to rouse Gridley, whilst serving him a peace warrant, but Gridley gives up the ghost. I feel rather like Gridley, ground down by life, to the point of despair.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"614\" height=\"1000\" src=\"http:\/\/www.sebpalmer.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/img_1797-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-25242\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.sebpalmer.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/img_1797-1.jpg 614w, http:\/\/www.sebpalmer.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/img_1797-1-184x300.jpg 184w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 614px) 100vw, 614px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Ian Hislop\u2019s not wrong.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Tom Baker\u2019s excellent autobiography <em>Who On Earth Is Tom Baker<\/em> reveals the hilariously self-deprecating thespian to be a major Dickens fan. Like Baker, I\u2019d quite like to read <em>all<\/em> of Dickens work, if I can, before I shuffle off this mortal coil.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And we do indeed have a complete collection of Dickens\u2019 works. I got it for Teresa, many moons ago. Back to this BBC adaptation, for now.
