I currently have something in the region of 45 DVDs of his movies, films he appears in, or that are about him. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This blog entry is a place for me to keep track of the stuff by or with\/about him, that I <em>don\u2019t yet <\/em>have. That includes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>What\u2019s Up Tiger Lily, 1966<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Small Time Crooks, 2000<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hollywood Ending, 2002<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Scoop, 2006<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To Rome With Love, 2012<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Blue Jasmine, 2013<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Irrational Man, 2015<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Wonder Wheel, 2017<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Rifkin\u2019s Festival, 2020<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Coup de Chance, TBA<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>I have seen some of the above. And might even have one or two as digital downloads. But I don\u2019t have them as part of my otherwise quite comprehensive Woody DVD collection. Sadly at present finances preclude expanding the collection!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The situation for me, is a bit like it is with Tom Waits; my favourite Waits stuff is everything up to about <em>Rain Dogs<\/em>\/<em>Frank\u2019s Wild Years<\/em>, maybe even <em>Big Time<\/em>? Thereafter Tom remains a great artist, but my passionate attachment to or love for his work fades somewhat. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"770\" height=\"513\" src=\"http:\/\/www.sebpalmer.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/img_8702.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-9292\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.sebpalmer.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/img_8702.jpg 770w, http:\/\/www.sebpalmer.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/img_8702-300x200.jpg 300w, http:\/\/www.sebpalmer.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/img_8702-768x512.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 767px) 89vw, (max-width: 1000px) 54vw, (max-width: 1071px) 543px, 580px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">I still love Tom, but just a little less so, post mid-\u201880s.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>With Woody he really gets going around the early \u201870s, and has a long wide purple patch running way into the 1980s, possibly even the \u201890s. But from the \u2018noughties\u2019 on, things have been more hit and miss. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are occasional gems, like <em>The Curse Of The Jade Scorpion<\/em>, and <em>Midnight In Paris<\/em>.
