Butt, of course, that isn\u2019t t<em>he <\/em>bottom line. It\u2019s just<em> a<\/em> bottom line.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I googled the phrase, and the top result (I can\u2019t be bothered citing the URL) ran thus: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2018What is bottom line? The bottom line primarily refers to a company&#8217;s net income, <em>which appears as the final line on the income statement<\/em>.* It&#8217;s the total amount of profit a business has remaining after paying expenses, expressed with the equation: Revenue \u2013 Expenses = Net Income.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1000\" height=\"628\" src=\"http:\/\/www.sebpalmer.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/img_9347.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-9476\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.sebpalmer.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/img_9347.jpg 1000w, http:\/\/www.sebpalmer.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/img_9347-300x188.jpg 300w, http:\/\/www.sebpalmer.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/img_9347-768x482.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 767px) 89vw, (max-width: 1000px) 54vw, (max-width: 1071px) 543px, 580px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">The crushingly dull reality.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>* My italics. I.e. at the bottom of a financial statement. Rather akin to how musicians say \u2018let\u2019s take it from the top\u2019, which refers to starting at the top or beginning of a score. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I post this in part as an afterthought to a previous post (about getting scammed buying apparel via Facebook), and in part because I myself &#8211; or perhaps Teresa and I? &#8211; well, in all honesty, more me really!
